FREELANCE WEB MARKETING CONSULTANT, Coupeville, Washington: Present

Contract web marketing services where I provide paid search management, online marketing, web site analytics, and email marketing services.

MICROSOFT, Redmond, Washington: 2005 – 2011
Various Roles

Sr. Search Account Manager (May 2008 – June 2011): Main account manager for several Premium-level search advertising clients, responsible for all account maintenance, strategic optimizations and in-person client presentations. In addition to the client-facing role, I am one of our teams recognized adCenter experts, taking an active role in team training (adCenter operation, Optimizations, Editorial practices). I also eagerly accept any opportunities to get out in front of adCenter clients and the search community in general. I have worked the Bing/adCenter booth at several trade shows and have been a participant on expert search panels at several shows, including two TechTarget Online ROI Summits (where I was part of a three-person panel giving PPC advice to the audience, along with representatives from Google and Yahoo) and, most recently, at the June 2009 SMX Advanced meeting in Seattle, where, again, I was part of a multi-person panel answering audience questions about search optimization.

Lead Media Specialist (April 2007 – April 2008): Front-line manager for a team of eight media specialists on the Select/SMB Team, which managed PPC via adCenter for mid-level Growth and Small/Medium business clients. As a manager I was responsible for weekly 1:1's, mentoring and coaching of my direct reports, overall portfolio management of our book of business, mid-year reviews, and formal year-end performance reviews. I am very proud of my time as a lead, because I was able to coach and mentor two struggling employees back to "Achieved" status, recommend another for a great new job with the Standard Support team, have another win a Star performance award, and overall have the team meet its performance/quota objectives. While a lead I also attended and graduated the Management Excellence training course.

Sr. Search Marketing Analyst (June 2005 – April 2007): Member of the Search Marketing Organization providing PPC search marketing services via adCenter and MSN.com to Premium-level advertising clients. Subject Matter Expert: adCenter UI, adCenter Reporting, Bulk Load Tool. Manager of two CSG Resources. Team mentor. Trainer for in-team skills classes, including adCenter UI/Reporting, Optimization, and Editorial Policies. As a manager of our CSG resources I had two direct reports and ensured that they were trained on our internal tools and had the resources they needed to be successful in their positions.
